Executive Leadership Team
As Chief Customer Officer at the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), and member of the Executive Board, Cathrine leads the global commercial activity overseeing a 300-strong team, across, customer strategy and innovation, product and service development, sales and business development, marketing and channel operations including customer services to deliver marine data solutions that support safe, secure and thriving oceans.
As Chief People Officer, Amy Carrillo is responsible for developing a culture and work environment that helps staff to thrive at the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO).
Across the organisation, her teams play a key role in leadership development, smarter working, diversity and inclusion and engagement, both internally and across the local community. These teams are also responsible for the creation of the UKHO’s award-winning apprenticeship scheme, which has been instrumental in helping the organisation to harness new talent and support the development of staff.
RAdm Rhett Hatcher
As Director of Data Acquisition, Rhett is responsible for building partnerships which underpin the UKHO’s role as a world-leading centre for hydrography and marine geospatial data.
Working with the Global Partnering and Engagement team, Rhett has developed a range of national and international partnerships, with relationships spanning UK and foreign governments, hydrographic offices and other data suppliers. By working with these partners, the UKHO is able to develop world leading products that utilise marine geospatial data, spanning from seabed to surface, offshore and beyond.
Terry Makewell is the Chief Technology Officer at the UK Hydrographic Office, having joined in April 2018. He is also a member of the British Council Digital Advisory Group.
Prior to joining the UKHO, Terry was Chief Digital Officer at the Office for National Statistics (ONS), where he had responsibility for delivering transformation programmes across data collection, processing and analysis.
Terry has also had experience within government as Head of Digital & Global Media at the Met Office.
As Chief Executive, Peter leads the organisation’s important work in supporting safe, secure and thriving oceans.
As Chief Operations Officer at the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), Dave Tomaney leads teams responsible for assuring, managing, assessing data and generating the information to create products and services.
